Mitaka Evangelical Church is a congregation of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC). Since our founding in 1981, we have gathered in Mitaka, Tokyo, to worship the Triune God. What began as a small congregation meeting in a private home was graciously provided with a permanent place of worship in 2007, where we continue to gather each Lord's Day.

We stand in the stream of the Protestant Reformation and confess, together with Christians throughout the ages, the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Definition of Chalcedon. We also joyfully embrace the Reformed faith as expressed in the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort.

Our congregation includes children, students, young families, and older generations worshiping together as one body in Christ.

Though we are not an international church, people from different nations and cultural backgrounds share in our common worship and fellowship. Together, we seek to grow as God's covenant people and to bear faithful witness to Christ in our homes, our city, and the world.
