Hato-gumi (Dove Class)
Age 3-5
The Dove Class is for preschool-aged children.
Through Bible storytelling, review questions, songs, and simple crafts, children are gradually introduced to the story of Scripture. They also learn the psalms and hymns sung in our Lord's Day worship, helping them become active participants in the life and worship of the Church.
Our goal is to nurture a love for God, His Word, and His people in a joyful and welcoming environment.
Kohitsuji-gumi (Lamb Class)
Age 6-10
The Lamb Class is primarily for elementary school students.
While the Dove Class places an emphasis on learning to listen, the Lamb Class seeks to nurture students' ability to read the Bible for themselves and actively engage with the stories of Scripture. As they study, students are encouraged to consider how the Bible connects with their daily lives and personal journeys.
Our goal is to deepen their understanding of God and their knowledge of Scripture, while providing opportunities for them to discover how God's Word can be applied to their everyday lives.
Shishi-gumi (Lion Class)
Age 11-15
The Lion Class is for upper elementary and middle school students.
Building on the foundations laid in the earlier classes, the Lion Class places a special emphasis on learning to think biblically. Students study the overarching story of Scripture while exploring who God is, what the Bible teaches, and how the Christian faith shapes every area of life.
The class also introduces students to Church History, helping them understand how God has faithfully preserved His Church throughout the centuries and how we stand within that rich Christian tradition.
